I’m not lucky; I’m blessed

A little before the deadly second wave hit our country, we Khemka girls were fortunate enough to go for a girlie trip to Goa. It was our Meera di’s 50th birthday. I really thank God for blessing me from above. They are not my cousins, they are my Energy Boosters, my strength. It’s a little gesture from me to Sameera Didi for organising a super birthday celebration. A small poem to express my gratitude:

Together, we shared a room,

Together, we let our talks bloom,

Together, we looked at the stars in the sky,

Together, we laughed and then we cried,

Together, we ate and drank,

Together, we shared some happiness & to The Almighty, I thank!

You gave us a beautiful gift this time,

Words I don’t have much to rhyme,

We all shared times of laughter and made wow memories,

Sisterhood was at its peak and our top priority.

Dress Codes were followed religiously,

All my babes looked hot absolutely.

Turq at Tulum & Ida; Beachwear at Yazu

Made us go berserk and photoshoots gave us a breakthrough!

Titlie, Prana, Artzuna and Crème-Choc

Was there any place we didn’t rock?

The surprise element at the beautiful yacht,

Gave our whites a dose of overshot!

The graceful party at The Cove,

Made our heels dancing high above!

The Portuguese band and Punjabi Songs

Niti’s dance added to the gongs.

Getting loaded with gifts added to the charm,

The more we got, the more we want(ed)!

Goa and Calem Grove proved to be energy booster,

Together, we created a major blockbuster.

My girl gang, you are angels in disguise,

You all are perceptive, intelligent and wise.

Always helping each other through good and bad,

You are the greatest treasure I’ve ever had!

A piece of my heart

A pillar for each other

A portion of each other’s lives

Literally, a slice of me

Not just a sister

My BFF, my Bestie

You all have always been

And you all will always be!

Love You Meeru and my Girl-Gang,

For the Phenomenal Times together we had!

Ma...Our Walking Miracle!

Ma:   My mom is a walking miracle. An epitome of simplicity, I take pride in what she is. Sometimes, I feel if I become half as strong, as talented as she is, I would be a class apart!   In my teenage days, my friends used to find reasons for me to host a party. Reason was simple….my mom’s culinary skills and warm hospitality. She was too good with her cooking, presentation and served with love. When we used to get soft drinks where ever we went, she used to impress us with her ‘kairi-pudina’, ‘bel sherbat’, fresh tomato juice etc. Her mouth watering chaats with home made papri and raj-kachori have satiated so many taste buds. Master Chef was not aired those days otherwise she would have been a winner with a big margin. Not only mine and my father’s friends, but my in-laws family can vouch for her creativity. While hosting dinners for her loving samdhis, she would make sure, in an array of snacks, no snack is repeated the second time. Her daal halwa was to die f...

Bhagwad Gita # Chapter 2# Paraphrased~ Reshape yourself with the power of your will!

Bhagwad Gita~ the song sung by God himself on the earth. It’s very truly called the manual of life. I am God’s chosen one because He guided me through the knowledge and I have enjoying reading the scripture. Now here I go paraphrasing the 2 nd chapter which forms the essence of the Holy Book. I have written what I understood. There’s much more to it as when I read it over and over again, I realize there’s a never-ending learning phase about life. Krishna explains that we should do 3 things before we get the solution for our seeming problems in interacting with the world. They are:      Problem Identification       Helplessness Identification    Seeking help unconditionally from a capable source. Seeking help is important because by living with the problem, one could be deluded and may not have the right disposition to find the solution. Since Arjuna is not fully prepared, Krishna prepares him to do his duty.   Bhagwad Gita# C...
Hi! This is Preeti Agarwal and I love doing something that adds a zing and meaning to my life. This blog has been created so that I can upload whatever I write as a small creation of my own or paraphrased or something I read somewhere and just want to follow it up. It contains some personal poetry, some table-mat designs and even my doodling art. I am loving the lock-down because it has given me something I would always cherish.
